- Maintaining the highest police staffing rate in the region (per capita, compared to similar-sized cities)
- Added 18 police positions and hired 100+ officers since 2018 to keep vacancies low
- Violent crime and property crime are both down more than 20% (comparing 2018 to 2024)
- Expanding youth safety initiative with new programs and partnerships focused on prevention, response, and engagement, plus reducing youth gang involvement
- The new Flock Safety System has provided 400+ leads and helped with nearly 150 arrests (since launch)
- Secured tens of millions of dollars for essentials, including police staffing, emergency response technology, drug treatment, shelter, diversion programs, parks, bridges, and more.
- Balanced the City’s budget every year, closing the budget gap caused by the State, while still maintaining core public services.
- Millions of dollars in park improvements, including accessible playgrounds, updated sport courts, better pathways, new dog parks, and completion of major projects like the Silver Lake Trail.
- Added 2,700+ housing units since 2018, w/ 5,000+ in the pipeline.
- Increased available shelter beds by 300%—with shelter capacity growing by 200 in 2025/2026 (2018: 91, by end of 2026: 643)
- Launched on-the-spot fentanyl treatment pilot with Everett Fire and saw more people accepting services and treatment after overdosing.
- Established Everett’s Care Team, which provides flexible response to 9-1-1 calls, responded to more than 1,800 individuals in 2024.
