'Fellow Rotarian Cassie Franklin is right for mayor of Everett' | A Letter from Buzz Rodland

Friends,

For the first time in 14 years our city has the responsibility of choosing a new leader for Everett. It is important that we ensure our mayor has innovative ideas to help us solve our public safety problems and to help us compete on a national level for economic growth. With these important issues in mind, I feel strongly that Cassie Franklin is the right person to be our next mayor.

I have known Cassie for more than a decade as a fellow Rotarian. I have seen her work hard, listen to fellow leaders, build a strong team, and serve our community. The city of Everett is facing some serious issues with regard to homelessness, gang violence, crime, and traffic congestion. Carol and I have had the privilege to see Cassie in action, and know she has the passion and energy needed for this work.

Cassie is the CEO of Cocoon House, which has a $5 million a year annual budget and nearly 100 employees who support homeless youth and work to break the cycle of poverty. Cassie has both the compassion and the business experience to lead our community to the next level.

Please join me in supporting, endorsing and casting your vote for Cassie Franklin for mayor of Everett.
